He is a published medical researcher in the field of Autism, a member of the Royal Society of Medicine, the British Physchological Society, The Medical Journalist’s Association and the Clinical Effectiveness Committee of Wandsworth Primary Care trust. He sat on the Department of health working party which drew up the code of best practice for sending UK NHS patients for treatment abroad. He was for 7 years the honorary secretary of the NHSTA working up to two days a week on behalf of the NHSTA without payment or expenses
